Why Effective Training Is Important

Employees are an investment, but they are also an expense. For the average business, hiring a new employee costs anywhere between $4,000-$8,000. This means that a bad training program could cause you the loss of your employees, your time, and your profits.

 

The way employees learn is constantly evolving due to new technologies, generations, and changing needs.

If your training hasn’t been updated within the past 12 to 14 months, it is likely ineffective, and it is definitely in need of an update if it has been 2 years or more. Outdated training programs create frustration and confusion for employees, which is not a motivating experience for any employee. Your training should provide you with a return on your investment (since training employees is not free), and that isn’t possible if your employees are not actually learning from your program.
